The worldwide production figures for Suzuki has crossed one million units which first rolled out in September 2004. The car is currently being manufactured in Hungary, India, Malaysia and Indonesia. This model has created history by reaching the million mark in shortest time span than any other model from the Suzuki portfolio. It marked the million unit milestone in just three years and eight months of its launch in the market.
Swift is currently being sold in more than115 countries across the world. It produced 361,676 units in Japan for domestic needs as well as exports. It started its production in September 2004 in Japan. In Hungary, it started its production in Feb 2005 and currently manufactures 306,852 units that cater to demands from European customers. Indian manufacturing unit started its production in May 2005 and currently manufactures 241,348 unit including sedans. It produces 92,893 units in China and other countries since May 2005.
