Honda launched its new 125cc bike CBF Stunner in India and marked its position as one of the fasted growing company in the 125cc segment. The new bike shall be priced at Rs. 47,070 to Rs. 51,655. It has set a sales target of 10 lakh units in India for the current fiscal units out of which 7 lakh units of sales would come from scooters and remaining from the bike sales.

According to NK Rattan, Head (Sales and Marketing), Honda Motors and Scooters India, the company shall launch two other models in India out of which one would a be 800cc CBR in India and another may be a scooter or yet another bike.

The company currently enjoys an 11 percent market share in motorcycles which is expected to rise to 15 percent in next two years. It had announced setting up a manufacturing facility earlier in India but the project has been scraped as of now. "Currently, our production capacity is of 1.2 million units, but it can be stretched up to 1.35 million units. So we can avail of this facility for the next 2-3 years. As of now, we do not have any plans to set up a new facility," said Mr. Rattan.
