The company is increasing the production capacity at the company's two plants in Maharashtra to 30,000 units per annum. The facilities in Pune and Aurangabad together will produce 110,000 units per annum. It has planned investments of nearly 410 million Euros in India for building a complete assembly line in 230 hectares of land. Volkswagen India also plans to build an exclusive dealer network in India to sell its cars in country’s main areas of demand.
