Porsche entered the Indian market in 2007 and does not have any Indian subsidiary so far. It markets its models in India through Precision Cars India Limited who are the official importers of Porsche cars in India. Porsche presently sells Boxter, Cayman, 911, Panamera and Cayenne models and their variants in India.
Porsche Boxter is available in three variants in India as Boxter, Boxter S and Boxter Spyder. There are two variants of Porsche Cayman as Cayman and Cayman S. 911 is the most popular model in India with several options including Carrera, Carrera S, Cabriolet and S Cabriolet, Carrera 4, 4S, 4 Cabriolet and Carrera 4S Cabriolet, Targa S and 4S, 911 Turbo and Turbo Cabriolet, GT2, GT3, GT3 RS and 911 Sports Classic.
Precision Cars India Limited currently has two retail outlets in India each at New Delhi and Mumbai. Porsche dealerships are also opening up shortly at Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi. Other shortlisted locations for potential dealerships are Ludhiana, Ahmedabad and Bangalore.
