Hero Honda was formed in 1984 in India with a joint venture between Hero Group of Companies and Honda Motor Company of Japan. It has become one of the largest two-wheeler companies in a span of more than two decades and has clearly dominated the motorcycle segment in the country. The Joint Venture Company always had an upper hand in the two-wheeler market with its excellence in 4-stroke engine technology from Honda and deep market experience from Hero group. Hero Honda motorcycles are clearly known for their low maintenance and superior performance in the Indian bike market.

Hero Honda Splendour was an instant success in the Indian market when it was launched and once it was the largest selling bike in India. The bike is known for its superior performance with excellent fuel efficiency and extremely low maintenance. Hero Honda has banked upon its “Fill It, Forget It” tag line and its bikes have always delivered according to its punch line.

Hero Honda product portfolio includes Achiever, CD Dawn, Glamour, CD Deluxe, Glamour Fi, Passion Plus and Karizma apart from Splendour. So far Splendour, Karizma and Passion bikes have been upgraded for the Indian market. Its performance bike models CBZ Xtreme and Hunk compete effectively in their segment.
