Skoda launched its small car Fabia earlier this year. The new Skoda Fabia shall roll out of its production unit in mid-2009. It shall be available in three versions of Active at Rs. 5.11 lakh, Classic at Rs. 5.48 lakh, and Ambient at Rs. 6.09 lakh.
The new Fabia for India shall have 3-cylinder petrol engine that gives power of 70 bhp. It is tough car with solid built and strong brakes. It has all the feature of a standard Skoda car that makes it’s a good buy. However, you can expect some noise at the start up and even in the idle condition the car shows some vibrations.

Volkswagen has already hiked its investment at its new production plant in Pune for manufacturing Fabia and its other luxury models. It aims to fully exploit the Indian car market with maximum presence in all segments in India. The Chakan plant in Pune is suppose to have an annual capacity of 110,000 cars.
"This is mainly aimed at meeting the need to locally produce Fabia (from Skoda, a VW group company). By March 2009, we will roll out Fabia from the Chakan plant," says Volkswagen India Executive Director Finance and CFO Ulrich Proske.
