Bangalore based Reva Electric Car Company rolled out the first electric cars in India. It is now planning to set up its distribution network in Europe for its Reva Electric Car. Keith Johnston, has been recently appointed as the new President for its European operations.
"We are serious about establishing Reva as a global electric car brand. With certain industry predictions forecasting that electric cars will constitute 20% to 25% of all new car sales by 2020, we hope to build on our early success as a technology innovator and succeed in this exciting new segment," says Johnston.

Reva is currently available in Spain, Ireland, Belgium, Cyprus, Greece and Norway as Reva G-Wiz. Reva’s product development program sources its input from its worldwide customers’ feedbacks as they have completed nearly 50 million km of driving.
Reva is world’s one of the first electric vehicles that has been sold commercially. It is one of the oldest electric vehicles in India as well. This two seater car is a common sight in Bangalore where it is being produced since 1994. India's Maini Group and AEV of the United States had set up Reva Electric Car Company in Bangalore and have been quite successful in commercialising electric vehicles.

The Reva G-Wiz has perhaps its best market in London because of the congestion charging.
