New Honda Aviator Launched

Honda launched a new model of its gearless scooter Aviator in India. The new model comes with a new punch line as well – “Live Your Style.” Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Honda Motors, Japan. The company has been constantly updating its model Aviator to lure and retain customers in a segment where it already occupies 70 percent share of the market segment. Aviator had been launched for mature Indian males and comes with a host of new features that make the style and design of the model quite upbeat.

HMSI National Sales Head Y S Guleria said that the introduction of the New Aviator is a step ahead in the company's commitment to expand the scooter market in India. The scooter will be available in five colours - Neo Orange Metallic (new), Pearl Heron Blue (new), Rebel Red Metallic, Pearl Black and Monsoon Gray Metallic. The Aviator Standard is priced at Rs 43,713 and Aviator Deluxe at Rs 48,713 ex-show room rate.

Honda is planning to invest Rs. 360 crores in India to step up its production capacity. It plans to product 15 lakh models in the next year as compared to current capacity of 12.5 lakh models annually.
