An Indian couple from West Bengal has developed a fuel-less eco-friendly auto engine. The engine can run a water pump for five years without interruption or a four-wheeler car up to 450,000 km. The engine was developed by Kanishka Sinha and his wife Lipika in Kolkata.
"This engine is switched on by a chemical reaction between zinc and oxygen; hence it is pollution-free. This technology also increases the durability of the engine," Kanishk Sinha, chairman of the Jasper Motor Vehicle company. The engines can be used in 4-wheelers, three wheelers and water pumps.
The couple has registered their company in the US five years ago with Rs. 1 billion raised from NRIs. They have also got their engine patented with BigPatents India, a body supported by Ford Foundation.
The couple is presently seeking land in West Bengal and has approached the authorities for the same to set up the manufacturing unit in WB. Jasper currently has 28-dealer network in Rajasthan, Bihar and New Delhi. It aims to set up 15 more dealers in next few months. the engine is priced at Rs. 35,000.

He is smart no doubt but Police is always Smarter then cheators and criminals . The report: The City Diary Held for cheating Calcutta police arrested a 40-year-old man at his home in Patna on Tuesday for allegedly cheating a city trader and then trying to label him a Pakistan-based drug smuggler on the Internet. ccording to police, Keyur Majnudar, a resident of Bhowanipore, met Kanishka Sinha in Delhi a year back. Sinha, who claimed to be a scientist, allegedly took Rs 80,000 from Majnudar as payment for "the right to distribute an engine that runs without fuel". When Sinha failed to supply such an engine, Majnudar started pressuring him to return the money. "Sinha then created a website that he labelled the official portal of the ministry of narcotics control in India. On the site, he uploaded two photographs of Majnudar, describing him as Gul Rehman, a Pakistan-based drug smuggler," said an investigator. Oh, please include some links to "BigPatents India" website.
Also include comments from some Ford people, since they support the patent issuer. Also possibly a demo of how this engine works - zinc and water going in, engine firing up and still working after four years. If it is true, it is a very good news for India.
