Maruti has planned its festive offer for all its car models in India. It is not only all set to launch its latest model A-Star in India but has also lined up irresistible discount and gifts for potential car buyers in the country. However, the company shall revert to old prices once the festive season is over.
“It is a tough time and we are concentrating on non-core markets. Banks, financial institutions and insurance companies make up a big market, but still remain tapped. We are directly giving cash discounts to customers in place of tangibles,” a senior executive of Maruti said.

Existing Maruti car owners can upgrade their models to new SX4 and avail a discount of Rs 30000. Wagon R comes with a discount of Rs 11000 along with insurance. Zen comes at a discount of Rs. 15000 with insurance and Alto comes with Rs 4000 discount and insurance. Maruti has also launched special offers for employees from banking, insurance and retail sector who can avail further discounts on specific models on case basis.
Maruti has witness a nose-dive dip in its sales in past two months and the never ending economic crisis seems far from being over. This festive season, Maruti hopes to post a growth in its demand and support the plummeting sales across the country.

U r right . Maruti cars are overpriced. 800, Wagon R and alto are unsafe in case of an accident . Accident scene photos of these cars shows only some metal scraps. In all the not so major accidents, survivors are critically injured
For the present market price they can incorporate more safety features, at least impact protection measures. rajendrakumar (March 15, 2009)

Sorry to say this but the truth is U are making a last ditch attemt to sell as many cars as possible before NANO comes on the roads of Mumbai - India. Once Nano becomes a reality buying of Maruti, Hyundai .... etc will evaporate into thin air. If 30 years back Premier Padmini / President ( FIAT ) could sell cars for Rs. 16,000/- ( and Maruti 800 was to sell at Rs.25,000 ) why have cars today cost Rs.
2.5 lacs and above ? Brother U have made Tons of mney all these years and Tata's have come to put a stop to this.... Shashikumar (September 22, 2008)
