Audi has designed a top down approach to launch itself in the Indian car market. It is launching its premium and luxury models in India to establish itself as a luxury brand in the country. It has already launched its Audi TT, A6, A8, Q7, A4. in India. Audi R8 has already got a favourable response from the luxury car lovers in India.

Audi A1

Speculations have been doing rounds in auto market in India that it also plans to launch its luxury small car in India. However, there is no official word about it from the company. The Financial Express reported that vice-president (Marketing) of Audi India has declined any plans of launching luxury small car from Audi in India. He brushed them are mere rumours and speculations from the car industry.

Audi A3

“We have no plans to bring the A3 to India. Tata’s Nano has created a completely new segment in small cars and to realise the price points in that segment is not feasible for us,” said Martin Birkner, Vice President, Audi India, reports The Financial Express. Although, it may be possible that another small car A1 may hit Indian roads by the year end 2010.
